Development of an Algorithm for the Choice of Treatment Tactics in Patients with Atherosclerotic Lesions of the Lower Limbs Arteries

Introduction: According to various sources, atherosclerosis of the lower limb arteries occurs in 3% – 20% of patients over 50 years of age. However, the proposed recommendations are based solely on the severity of ischaemia of the lower extremities and the characteristics of atherosclerotic lesions according to diagnostic methods of research and do not account for the presence and severity of co ncomitant pathology, which increases the risk of both acute cardiovascular events and incomplete revascularisation in patients with severe concomitant pathology.
