SELNET Clinical practice guidelines for soft tissue sarcoma and GIST
Soft tissue sarcoma (STS) is a heterogeneous group of neoplasms, encompassing more than 80 different histologic subtypes. Approximately three quarter of sarcoma arise from soft-tissue, about 15% are gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GISTs) and bone sarcoma represent the remaining 10%. The current guidelines will focus on soft-tissue and GIST, excluding Kaposi sarcoma and non-pleomorphic rhabdomyosarcoma. Bone sarcomas are covered in a different paper.
