Multipurpose ultrasound-based prostate phantom for use in interstitial brachytherapy
While brachytherapy is an effective treatment for localized prostate cancer, there has been a noticeable decline in its use. Training opportunity for prostate brachytherapy has been in steady decline, with some residents receiving little to no hands-on training. This work was developed to design a training environment that uses a phantom-based simulator to teach the process of TRUS-based prostate brachytherapy
