Infection Prevention and Control in Health Care, Part 1: Facility Planning and Management

The field of Infection Prevention and Control has once again been thrust into the spotlight with the global COVID-19 pandemic. It has transcended from its original focus of occupational health and hospital infection control and is now implicit in the daily activities of every individual on this planet. What has become apparent is that the core Infection Prevention concepts used within hospitals are just as applicable in the community to prevent spread of infections within public spaces, as well as within a person ’s home.
