On consequential validity.

In this editorial the authors propose that test developers and other researchers embrace their responsibility for supple mentary facets of a test and generate substantive research in these understudied areas. To this end, through this edi torial, the authors raise awareness of the understudied topic of con sequential validity. In European Journal of Psychological Assessment, they explicitly welcome empirical studies on aspects of consequential validity, addressing for example: (1) report development; (2) feedback on test scores; (3) individual consequences of testing; and (4) social consequences of testing. All these questions relate to the field of consequential validity. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2021 APA, all rights reserved)
