The development and use of an anatomy-based retraining program (MusAARP) to assess and treat focal hand dystonia in musicians – a pilot study

International studies consistently indicate that musicians across their lifespan will suffer from extremely high rates of performance-related health disorders, affecting up to 89.5% of professional orchestral musicians worldwide1. Overuse injuries, movement disorders such as musician's dystonia, as well as music performance anxiety are all commonly reported conditions, and in many cases these conditions may be associated2,3.
