Estimating the burden of type 2 diabetes in the UK prison environment for the next decade
Using health data collected from a current prison sample, this cross-sectional study estimated that in the next decade 6.4 individuals (aged 25 –84) per 100 would develop type 2 diabetes (T2DM), and this value increased to 16.4 individuals per 100 in the oldest age group (50 years and older).
