I am equally disappointed that money is being redistributed to non-physicians instead of solely to primary care physicians. Half of my requisitions are coming from non-physicians, and this will worsen it as there is such a low barrier to becoming a non-physician “medical practitioner” and their wages are going up. At the end of the day, we will end up reading 10% more studies for same pay until the insurance companies and hospital systems decide AI + non-physician signing off is good enough for their customers. 12/8/2020 8:26:22 AMDrrad123 Job market tanks next.
