60.2 teaching and training in complex consultation clinics: the role of child and adolescent psychiatry in the prevention of maltreatment recidivism

Unobtrusive assessment methods, and the use of empirical literature to train future mental health specialists, have a critical role in the reduction of maltreatment recidivism. This presentation will discuss implementation of teaching and training for child and adolescent psychiatrists in a court consultation project, which was adapted from the Tulane Model for the reduction of maltreatment recidivism for children aged 0-6 years who were maltreated.
