24-Hour Movement Behaviors and Internalizing and Externalizing Behaviors Among Youth

The Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines for Children and Youth ( ≥60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity per day, ≤2 hours of recreational screen time per day, and 9–11 hours of sleep per night for 5–13 years old) are associated with better physical health, but less is known about how these behaviors are related to mental health. This st udy examined the association of meeting these guideline recommendations with internalizing and externalizing behaviors among youth.
