Long-term outcomes of females with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder: increased risk for self-harm.

We present data on predictors and mediators of such risk, highlighting a recent dual-process model involving trait impulsivity plus family- and peer-related contributors. We conclude with recommendations for assessment and preventive intervention.
