Observation of Gonio Structures during Microhook Ab Interno Trabeculotomy Using a Novel Digital Microscope with Integrated Intraoperative Optical Coherence Tomography.

Conclusion: Intraoperative imaging of the gonio structures including the trabeculotomy cleft was feasible using the ARTEVO 800 with iOCT in combination with a gonioprism. PMID: 32724670 [PubMed]

CONCLUSIONS: Repeatability estimates of OMAG measurements were better on referenced scans compared with non-referenced scans. Perfusion density measurements had lower variability than flux index. OCTA-measured perfusion density of referenced scans is preferable for monitoring vascular change in glaucoma. PMID: 32962991 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Authors: Yilmaz H, Koylu MT, Çakır BA, Küçükevcilioğlu M, Durukan AH, Bayer A, Mutlu FM Abstract PURPOSE: To investigate the retinal nerve fiber layer thickness (RNFLT) in uveitic eyes and search for the associations with uveitis activity, etiology and location. METHODS: The files of 76 patients with uveitis and 76 controls were scanned. Associations of RNFLT were analyzed using generalized linear models. RESULTS: The RNFLT was significantly higher in patients with uveitis (p

Conclusion: Hydroxychloroquine was found to cause progressive thinning of the inner retinal layers, specifically in the GCL of the foveolar and par acentral areas, but no changes were observed in the outer retina.

Conclusions: Overhead mounted OCT allowed high-quality image acquisition and analysis in childhood glaucoma patients unable to be imaged with the tabletop counterpart, presenting an opportunity for improved clinical management and study of childhood glaucoma-related pathophysiology. pRNFL, parafoveal total retinal thickness, and parafoveal GCC thickness were decreased for affected eyes of children under 6 years of age compared with age-matched controls from a companion normative study.

Précis: Averaging triplicate en face angiograms of the radial peripapillary capillary (RPC) plexus with optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) improves vessel visualization, reduces vessel density parameters, and increases the diagnostic accuracy for glaucoma of one such parameter. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to test the hypothesis that triplicate averaging of the RPC layer improves visualization and diagnostic accuracy of OCTA for glaucoma. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional study involving 63 primary open-angle glaucoma patients and 70 age-matched glaucoma suspects. Tripli...

ConclusionPXG eyes were found to have lesser values in terms of VD in the macular area, especially in the parafoveal and FD-300 regions, compared to POAG eyes which had similar functional and structural glaucomatous damage. Patients whose etiology was PXG and who seemed to have the same functional damage as those with POAG were actually found to have greater macular vascular damage. In addition, it was observed that macular vascular parameters correlated with peripapillary vascular parameters.
