Conclusions: Our preliminary analysis showed that HDR-BT is a feasible treatment for partial breast reirradiation offering very low complications rate and fast procedure. In this study, we characterize the 3DUS system performance, establish QA baselines, and develop and test a method to register 3DUS images to CT images for PBSI planning.
ConclusionOur preliminary results show a potential role for US guidance and EM needle navigation for implantation of catheters for breast brachytherapy. EM catheter tracking can accurately assess the implant geometry in breast brachytherapy patients. This methodology has the potential to evaluate catheter positions directly after the implantation and during the several fractions of the treatment.

Intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT), a form of accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI), is an appealing alternative to postoperative whole breast irradiation for early-stage breast cancer. The purpose of this study was to examine the toxicity and cosmetic outcomes of patients treated with a novel form of breast IORT (precision breast IORT; PB-IORT), that delivers a targeted, higher dose of radiation than conventional IORT.
Conclusion: The first use of S-PBI in Korean women was feasible and safe for selected early breast cancer. Based on these results, we have initiated a prospective study (NCT03568981) to test S-PBI in whole-breast irradiation for low-risk early breast cancer.

A formalized approach evaluated the current workflow through failure modes and effects analysis and generated insight for developing new procedural workflow techniques to improve the clinical treatment process.
