Prevalence of Dental Caries in 12-Year-Olds in San Pedro de Macor ís, DR.
CONCLUSION: The WHO's goal of all 12-year-olds having a DMFT less than or equal to 3 was met by all the participants in our study. Girls and public-school attendees carry the burden of the disease. The high D component of the index suggests that there are unmet dental-caries needs. This information will assist in the design and implementation of future primary and secondary prevention programs.
