Talking to patients and families about air pollution

Air pollution's health effects are extensive and varied, but are particularly prevalent in the respiratory system. With this comes media interest and public interest, not only in the effects of air pollution but also how to manage health conditions such as asthma that are significantly affected. Parents/carers and children are now starting to bring the subject up in clinical consultations. It is important not only to have an understanding of the current evidence on the health effects, but also to have answers to some of the more common questions.
