Effect of titanium or zirconia implant abutments on epithelial attachments after ultrasonic cleaning.

In conclusion, zirconia is harder than titanium and a better choice for use in the epithelial tissue attachment. Zirconia is more suitable as a material for implant abutments than titanium.
