Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a condition characterized by extrapulmonary consequences affecting functionality and quality of life.1, 2 The observed low levels of daily physical activity may induce a reduction in muscle mass and generate muscle weakness.3 –6 The latter increases in the presence of associated chronic diseases and is directly related to sarcopenia.7
