Nasogastric tube utilization after esophagectomy: an unnecessary gesture?

CONCLUSIONS: Non-use of nasogastric tube during postoperative period of an Ivor-Lewis esophagectomy is a safe measure, as it is not associated with a higher rate of complications or hospital stay.
