Traumatic Gluteal Implant Rupture Presenting as Low Back Pain

A 58-year-old woman presented to our physiatric spine clinic with low back pain after falling backwards from an unsecured seat at a movie theater 3  weeks prior. She presented to the local emergency department where computed tomography (CT) imaging of the lumbar and cervical spine were negative for fractures. Magnetic resonance imaging of the lumbar spine revealed mild degenerative changes in the lower lumbar spine. She denied significant medi cal or surgical history. She also denied systemic symptoms or the use of any anticoagulation medications.
