Diagnostic role of F-18 FDG PET/CT for preoperative lymph node staging in thyroid cancer patients; A systematic review and metaanalysis
Although ultrasonography (US) is a standard technique for the assessment of cervical lymph node (LN) metastasis, the role of F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) is increasingly reported. The purpose of this study is to assess the diagnostic accuracy of F-18 FDG PET-CT for detection of cervical LN metastasis in thyroid cancer (TCa) patients through a meta-analysis.
