Letter to the Editor on: “Eighteen-Year Follow-Up Study of 2 Alternative Bearing Surfaces Used in Total Hip Arthroplasty in the Same Young Patients”

We read with great interest the article by Young-Hoo Kim et al.(1) titled “Eighteen-Year Follow-Up Study of 2 Alternative Bearing Surfaces Used in Total Hip Arthroplasty in the Same Young Patients”, March 2020 issue, regarding comparison of functional, radiographic, and computed tomography scan outcomes and implant survivorship at a mean follow-up of 17 years of ceram ic-on-ceramic total hip arthroplasty (C-O-C THA) and ceramic-on-highly cross-linked polyethylene total hip arthroplasty (C-O-HXLPE THA) in the same patients.
