6AEvaluating and Treating Opioid Withdrawal Symptoms in Patients on Chronic Opioid Therapy

The aim of this investigation/presentation is to provide clinical perspectives on accurately identifying and treating opioid withdrawal symptoms. As providers continue to be encouraged to taper patients off of chronic opioid therapy and the incidence of opioid withdrawal symptoms rises, this clinical knowledge is becoming increasingly necessary. Effectively managing opioid withdrawal symptoms will decrease barriers to tapering and provide more successful outcomes and an improved experience for this patient population.
