Bio-fabrication of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) has several advantages like biocompatibility, less toxicity, and eco-friendly in nature over their chemical and physical methods. Currently, the authors fabricated AuNPs using aqueous root extract of Momordica dioica (M. dioica) and explored their anticancer application with mechanistic approaches. Different biophysical techniques such as UV–visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, selected area electron diffraction, and dynamic light scattering were employed for AuNPs characterisation. The synthesised AuNPs we...

This study integrated the data of formula components, all types of biomolecules in the human body, and nonexpressed protein in breast cancer cells and constructed the breast cancer cell network and the biological network that SWT acted on the breast cancer-related targets by Entity Grammar System (EGS). Biological network showed 59 bioactive components acting on 15 breast cancer-related targets. The antibreast cancer mechanisms were summarized by enrichment analysis: regulation of cell death, response to hormone stimulation, response to organic substance, regulation of phosphorylation of amino acids, regulation of cell pro...

Exosomal miRNAs, as signaling molecules in intercellular communication, play the essential roles in the drug-induced liver injury (DILI). However, the expression profiles of them in patients with AILI remains unknown. Seven post-chemotherapy patients were recruited in this study. After isolated plasma-derived exoso...

(ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group) Patient-reported data from TAILORx, the largest ever breast cancer treatment trial, shows three key findings: 1) women on chemotherapy plus hormone therapy reported early and abrupt cognitive decline at 3 and 6 months, that leveled off at 12 and 36 months; 2) women on hormone therapy also reported significant cognitive impairment, although the pace of decline was slower and more gradual; and 3) cognitive function did not return to pre-treatment levels in either group.

Abstract Results: The VMAT plans showed superior to PTV dose conformity index (CI), homogeneity index (HI), protection of the ipsilateral lung, monitor units (MUs), and maximum dose (Dmax) to the contralateral breast compared with TSP and 9FIMRT plans. The TSP provided better protection for Dmean of the heart and left ventricle (p

Abstract Breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer among women around the world. The development of computer-aided diagnosis tools is essential to help pathologists to accurately interpret and discriminate between malignant and benign tumors. This paper proposes the development of an automated proliferative breast lesion diagnosis based on machine-learning algorithms. We used Tabu search to select the most significant features. The evaluation of the feature is based on the dependency degree of each attribute in the rough set. The categorization of reduced features was built using five machine-learning algorithms....
