How should aortic remodelling be defined?

We read with great interest the study of Kazimierczak et al. Dealing with effects of Extended PETTICOAT Technique on aortic remodelling in patients with acute type 3B (AT3B) dissection.1 As the authors mentioned, the aneurysmatic process on going from conventional follow-up is a serious problem about complicated AT3B or Stanford type B (STB) dissections. To decrease this process, Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR) is being used. The main arguement to assess the efficiency of this technique is aortic remodelling.
