Heinz Endowments commits $10M toward well-being of children, families
The Heinz Endowments has committed $10 million over three years to programs that will assist in the the health and education of young children and their families.
The funds will target children from prenatal to three years old and their parents, according to a report in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Among the grants already allocated are $200,000 for the Allegheny County Health Department to address infant and maternal mortality and $750,000 for a pilot rese arch project that will study disparities…
