A Protocol Development Study Investigating the Use of Hounsfield Units from CT Angiograms in Patients Presenting with Critical Limb Ischaemia

Introduction: Management of patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and diabetes can be challenging, with many requiring multiple interventions and possibly amputations. Identifying those ultimately requiring amputation is difficult. Hounsfield Units (HUs) are measurements from CT scans that indicate the brightness of the pixels. They are used by radiologists to differentiate between different tissue types.
