ConclusionRABIT is a safe and feasible approach for thyroidectomy. It has several advantages in that it provides similar symmetrical view to conventional open surgery and enables to maintain specimen integrity and use of assistant port permits better handling of the gland. Additionally, the largest operating angles with this technique prevent collision between the robotic arms and provide excellent cosmetic satisfaction due to very small, five separate breast-axillo incisions.

Conclusions: In OSCC, very low preoperative NLR values have a negative prognostic impact on survival and recurrence, similarly to high ratios. ENE and perineural spread are the most important clinical-pathologic prognosticators. Introduction Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) accounts for more than 95% of oral tumors and is the eighth most frequent cancer worldwide, with an estimated incidence of 640,000 new cases per year (1). Survival of OSCC has slightly improved over the last 30 years, probably as a consequence of multimodal treatment spreading. However, intensified therapeutic regimens can result in signific...

We present a 54-year-old male patient admitted to our clinic, complaining about having back pains for approximately three months. A lumbosacral spine MRI and a PET/CT scan revealed multiple lesions in the L4, L5, S1 vertebra bodies, sacral bone and left pelvis bone, suggesting of a metastatic disease. The result of thyroid FNA was carcinoma and a biopsy of the vertebra bone confirmed the presence of a metastatic carcinoma. A total thyroidectomy and level VI neck dissection was conducted followed by palliative external beam radiotherapy (30 Gy) to the vertebra bodies, sacral bone and left pelvis bone. In pathological studie...

This study aimed to explore whether a correlation exists between the incidence and mortality of cancers and normalized internet search volumes on the big data platform, Baidu. We also assessed whether the distribution of people who searched for specific types of cancer differed by gender. Finally, we determined whether there were regional disparities among people who searched the Web for cancer-related information. Methods: Standard Boolean operators were used to choose search terms for each type of cancer. Spearman’s correlation analysis was used to explore correlations among monthly search index values for each can...

Conclusions:Evaluating isolated cranial nerve palsy can be challenging owing to the exhaustive list of causes. Our patient not only highlights the importance of a thorough systemic examination before a presumptive diagnosis of Bell’s palsy is made but also serves as a reminder to consider and exclude rare causes such as temporal bone lesions.Disclosure: Dr. Isaac has nothing to disclose.
