New view at the problem of COPD with bronchial asthma (A)

Conclusions: More than 60% of COPD pts at least sometimes have a positive BORT, about 50% pts have it repeatedly. A new COPD phenotype may be called "COPD with a positive BORT". E as an allergic marker have low sensitivity. Those pts who, in addition to a positive BORT, have an increase in at least one of the allergic markers, can be classified as "COPD-A overlap" (CAO) (unlike "A-COPD overlap" (ACO)). The formation of CAO at the stages of observation of pts may require a revision of drug therapy and/or doses of drugs.
