ConclusionsPartial knockout of EDNRB results in reduced NEC severity and reduced tissue hypoxia. Intestinal perfusion and hypoxia are important elements of NEC pathogenesis. These findings are relevant to the understanding of NEC pathophysiology and to the development of novel preventive strategies for NEC.
