Comparison of the self-esteem between the applicants and non-applicants of cosmetic surgery

ConclusionsIt seems that self-esteem has no significant effect on the decision to have cosmetic surgery. Further, there was a relationship between self-esteem and some variables such as marital status in cosmetic surgery applicants and occupation in cosmetic surgery non-applicants. Further studies are suggested to be done on a larger sample size.Level of evidence: Level III, diagnostic study
