Major emergency orthopaedic surgery in patients with a concomitant acute coronary event following trauma

ConclusionsPatients with acute orthopaedic polytrauma presenting concomitant acute coronary events should be treated by multi-disciplinary teams, allowing early surgical management in a safe cardio-vascular and stable haemodynamic status.

ConclusionsAlthough prospective study of AIS patients at a radiography department is indispensable, CB-CTA performed in an angiography-suite might be useful to evaluate patients with ELVO.

A 73-year-old woman with a history of a 6-cm juxtarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm who underwent a fenestrated endovascular aortic repair using the Zenith fenestrated endovascular (ZFEN) device (Cook Medical, Bloomington, Ind) presented with a type IA endoleak found on routine surveillance computed tomography angiography (CTA). The previously placed ZFEN device included a scallop for the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) and bilateral stented fenestrations to the renal arteries.

ConclusionCardiac high-pitch CTA of neonates with CHD can be performed safely and dose-reducing without additional test bolus or bolus tracking scan. With very good image quality, it provides a detailed insight into the cardiac anatomy and thus enables a differentiated, noninvasive therapy planning.

The impact of psoriatic inflammation on the eye is not fully understood. In this pilot study we investigated if peripheral vascular leakage (PVL), a feature of retinopathy, was evident in patients with psoriasis using Ultra-Wide-Field Fluorescein Angiography (UWFFA). We performed a pilot cross-sectional, IRB-approved, prospective study comparing UWFFA in patients with psoriasis to healthy age-matched controls. Subjects with active or history of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis underwent a complete ophthalmologic exam along with optical coherence tomography and UWFFA.

We aimed to investigate whether there is a correlation between left main coronary artery (LMCA), left anterior descending artery (LAD) and left circumflex artery (LCx) artery dimensions in normal cases and a possibility to express the coronary dimensions by multiple linear equations.Materials and methodsImages of coronary angiograms of 925 normal cases selected from 3855 ...
