The growth of MoOx nanostructures was achieved by using Mo wire feeder incorporated flame vapor deposition (FVD) system. Nanotubes and nanowires were successfully obtained in this FVD process under certain process conditions. Mo wire feed rate was found to have great impact on the thin film morphology. As wire feed rate increases, nanostructures change from nanowires to nanotubes, and to branched tree-like structures. The FVD process with precise feed rate control in this work offers a promising approach for nanostructured MoOx thin film growth.
