Ramipril substantially improved walking times in PAD trial

After six months, patients with peripheral artery disease and intermittent claudication who were treated with ramipril were able to walk considerably longer pain free and walk much farther on a treadmill compared with their peers who received placebo, in a new study. The gains were greater than typical improvements associated with the two drugs that are currently approved in the US for PAD.
