Massive Broad Ligament Hematoma Caused by Spontaneous Uterine Artery Rupture Following Uncomplicated Vaginal Delivery

A 34-year-old woman, gravida 3, para 1, was admitted to our hospital at 40 weeks of gestation with regular active labor. She received uneventful routine antenatal care except for a modified Schirodker operation performed at 15 weeks of gestation. After admission, she delivered a live infant weighing 3880 g after 21 hours of uncomplicated labor and delivery. Her blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) were 110/70 mmHg and 80 beats/min, respectively. Uterine tone was adequate without abnormal postpartum bleeding (estimated vaginal blood loss: 300 mL).
