However, sleeve gastrectomy (SG) has been reported to worsen gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a major risk factor for Barrett ’s esophagus (BE) and esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC). The incidence of GERD and BE post SG has not been well reported.
