SOHS (State of the Humanitarian Systems) 2018 Case Study: Yemen

This 46-page case study is one in a series of five research pieces which fed into the analysis for The State of the Humanitarian System 2018, and describes conditions in Yemen. The continued insecurity, instability, and violence there have caused the displacement of approximately three million people, and have had a devastating impact on food security and livelihoods. The health sector response has had to deal with the indirect impacts of the war, such as the deterioration of public health systems, people ’s fear of using health structures due to their frequent bombing, and significant levels of health-related malnutrition.
