Patient-Reported Functional and Satisfaction Outcomes after Robotic-Arm-Assisted Total Knee Arthroplasty: Early Results of a Prospective Multicenter Investigation

Conclusion The data indicate RATKA patients to have equal or greater improvements in 9 out of 10 of the Knee Society Scoring System components assessed at 3 months postoperatively, though not all findings were statistically significant. Since this is an early results report, this study will be continued for a longer follow-up, but we are encouraged by these interim results. This study used a descriptive cross-sectional design involving a convenience sample of 131 nurses working in surgical wards. Data was collected using a self-administered questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation coefficient and linear regression were used to analyse the data.ResultsThe majority of the nurses 97(74%) had high levels of knowledge on immediate post-operative pain management. While 115(88%) of the nurses had moderate levels of practice with regards to immediate post-operative pain management. Age (21.8 95% CI (21.1 – 22.5), p = 0.000), gender (20.7 95% CI (20.4 – 21, p = 0....

In this study, we evaluate the anti-allodynic, anti-hyperalgesic and antidepressant-like effects of CMI on partial sciatic nerve ligation (PSNL) in male adult Swiss mice (25-35 g) as well as the involvement of oxidative stress in these effects. Mice underwent PSNL surgery and after 4 weeks they were treated with CMI (10 mg/kg, intragastric route [i.g.]) or vehicle. The treatment with CMI (10 mg/kg, i.g.) reversed the increased the percentage of response to Von-Frey Hair (VFH) stimulation, decreased the latency time to nociceptive response in the hot-plate test, increased immobility time in the forced s...
