Comments on ECGI and Activation Mapping

ECGI is a general approach for noninvasive reconstruction of epicardial potentials, from which activation-time and repolarization maps can be constructed. Duchateau1 compares noninvasive and invasive activation mapping, as conducted in their laboratory, using commercial systems. It is not general evaluation of ECGI. Accuracy of ECGI depends strongly on the exact methodology used and details of execution. Our laboratory experimental ECGI system employs armamentarium of custom methods/algorithms. Here I address points in Duchateau1 based on my extensive experience with ECGI.
