Three-dimensional (3D) levitation culture improves the in vitro growth of secondary follicles in bovine model

Conclusion3D levitation culture system improves the in vitro development of bovine secondary follicles in terms of viability, antrum formation, and lower extrusion and degeneration rates as well as adequate growth rate leading to relevant oocyte viability and meiotic resumption after in vitro maturation. Moreover, this approach does not require specific medium and has potential to be applied as alternative method to in vitro follicle culture in several species as well as in humans.
