A Ramped Administration of Pamidronate in Children: Preliminary Results

Pamidronate is the most widely used bisphosphonate to treat osteoporosis in children. It is commonly given IV for 3 consecutive days, for 5 orHtreatment fractures occur at the margins of pamidronate bands that form with bisphosphonate treatment in growing bone. A ramped dosing regimen was proposed to mediate stress-riser formation.
