Bronchial and nonbronchial systemic artery embolization: Experience with 836 patients
Conclusions: The commonest etiologies for moderate recurrent or life-threatening hemoptysis in our locality are TB and bronchiectasis. The chief vascular abnormalities were hypervascular lesions from the bronchial and nonbronchial systemic arteries followed by systemic -pulmonary artery shunts. BAE and NBSAE were effective to control both acute and chronic hemoptyses, with no severe complications.
