Monocytes and dendritic cells with hyperinflammatory profile in lungs of sarcoidosis patients
Conclusion: Monocytes and DCs in lungs of sarcoidosis patients showed altered frequencies compared to healthy controls and exhibited an inflammatory phenotype with spontaneous, high TNF production particularly in non-LS patients, possibly contributing to the chronic course of the disease.
