Cancer-zapping proton center lands big grant from TQL Foundation

The TQL Foundation has donated $1 million toward cancer research at the Proton Therapy Center on the Cincinnati Children ’s Hospital campus in Butler County, the largest amount ever given to benefit the facility.  Cincinnati Children’s and UC Health teamed to build and operate the $120 million Proton Therapy Center, which opened in 2016 to treat both kids and adults.  A 120-ton particle accelerator called a cy clotron zaps cancer with particles that travel faster than a bolt of lightning. In…
