Monthly opioid death toll falls, but fentanyl levels soar

Opioid overdose deaths hit a nearly two-year low in the month of September, but deaths involving fentanyl are on the rise, new state data shows. According to a Department of Public Health report on Friday, there were 108 estimated or confirmed opioid-related deaths in September 2018.
