Illinois Couple: Lung Disease Caused By Working In Food Additives Industry

CHICAGO - A couple on Oct. 22 filed a lawsuit against several food companies in Illinois state court, contending that they were injured by exposure to diacetyl and acetyl propionyl while working for a company that produced chemical food additives, which led to the development of lung disease (Lazaro Sanchez, Jr., et al. v. DSM Food Specialties USA Inc., et al., No. 2018L011469, Ill. Cir., Cook Co.).
