Cancer Victim Accepts Reduced Punitive Damages Award In Monsanto Glyphosate Case

SAN FRANCISCO - A cancer victim who won $289,254,882.32 in damages for exposure to glyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto Co.'s herbicide Roundup, on Oct. 26 filed a notice of acceptance of the reduced punitive damages verdict, which was cut by nearly $211 million (DeWayne Johnson v. Monsanto Company, No. CGC 16550128, Calif. Super., San Francisco Co.).
