11.3 Multicultural Mothering: Implications for Personal and Professional Development

The goals of this session are to share and explore the experiences of mothering from the perspectives of an immigrant. This discussion will also address this subject from the perspective of the professional working with other immigrant mothers and children as patients and promote a better understanding of more effective ways to facilitate pride in one ’s own background, as well as enjoyment of the richness of integration and assimilation.
