$20 million gift focuses UCSF on depression, mood disorders
A $20 million gift from a longtime UCSF benefactor will help researchers zero in on brain circuitry that sets off mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety, and target personalized treatments.
The donation — the second gift of this size from the Ray and Dagmar Dolby Family Fund — will establish the UCSF Dolby Center for Mood Disorders to identify brain-imaging biomarkers that could be targeted for individualized deep-brain stimulation or other treatments.
