The high macrolide resistance in genital tract infection of chinese infertile population should receive more attention

It is estimated that approximately 15% of male infertility is related to infections in the genital tract. Mycoplasma genitalium is an important emerging causative agent of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). World macrolide treatment is of great challenge due to increased antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The aim is to examine the prevalence of M. genitalium and to determine the prevalence of mutations leading to resistance to macrolides in infertile patients in China.
