Review of Experience with GORE Heparin Bonded Arterio-Venous Acuseal and Propaten Graft
82 patients with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage V underwent 91 new heparin-bonded Acuseal or Propaten graft implantations. The Acuseal and Propaten cohorts were followed for up to 41 months to determine if there were any differences in primary or secondary patency and complications. Primary assisted patency could not be assessed because of inaccuracy of evidence. Acuseal grafts have the advantage of being able to be cannulated almost immediately because of an elastomeric membrane between the inner and outer lamina.
